IPTE/Prodel Warranty Policy:

Machines and Spare Parts

 
 

 


1. General IPTE Machine Warranty Conditions:
IPTE warrants that the Products sold hereunder shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of first use or 2,000 operating hours, whichever occurs first. For the purposes of this Agreement, “first use” shall mean that point in time where the Products are installed and are available for use by Buyer. In the event that defects in material or workmanship occur during the warranty period IPTE will, at its option, repair or replace the parts in question. Tooling, consumables and normal maintenance and adjustments are not covered by this warranty. IPTE reserves the right to replace defective parts with new or refurbished/repaired parts, which are equivalent to new in performance.


2. General IPTE Spare Part Warranty Conditions:
Spare parts or replacement parts (other than non-application specific computer parts) will have a warranty of 90 days or the balance of the machine warranty which ever is longer. IPTE reserves the right to replace defective parts with new or refurbished/repaired parts, which are equivalent to new in performance.


3. General IPTE Computer Warranty Conditions:
Non-application specific computer parts (memory, CPU, main boards, video boards, hard drives…) are covered by the machine warranty. If a computer is defective, IPTE may repair the computer or replace the entire computer at our discretion. During the repair or replacement all or some of the computer data may be lost, it is the Buyer’s responsibility to backup all computer data. Replacement computer parts have no warranty. IPTE reserves the right to replace defective parts with new or refurbished/repaired parts, which are equivalent to new in performance.


Repaired or refurbished parts will have a 90-day warranty.


4. General IPTE Application Warranty Conditions: Product Specific applications like routing programs, test programs, customer specific software are not covered by the IPTE warranty.


5. Integrated third party equipment: Equipment used within IPTE manufactured systems manufactured by a third party is covered by the third party warranty and not the IPTE warranty. IPTE will only honor the third party equipment warranty.


6. Specific Warranty for Router Spindles:

Router Spindles have a specific warranty depending on the usage of the spindle.

 
SpeedRouter™ Spindles:
   
1 Shift Operation:
  12 month or 2,000 hours whichever comes first
2 Shift Operation:
  6 months or 2,000 hours whichever comes first
3 Shift Operation:
  3 months or 2,000 hours whichever comes first
     
Gamma Router Spindles:
   
  6 months or 3,000 hours whichever comes first


7. The above stated warranties do not apply to defects resulting from incorrect maintenance, installation, repair or calibration by the customer; defects caused by third party equipment (hardware and (or) software); defects caused by unauthorized modifications; defects caused by accident; loss or damage caused to the product while in transit.


8. Warranty Part Replacement Orders: In order to easily ship and track parts IPTE prefers to receive a $0.00 purchase order for the part in question.


9. Warranty Exchange Part Orders: For parts that are exchanged within the parts warranty period IPTE requires a $0.00 purchase order, if the damaged part is not returned within 14 days IPTE will invoice the new value of the part.


10. Exchange Part Orders (out of warranty): If the exchanged part is not under warranty IPTE will require a purchase order for the replacement value of the part, if the damaged part is not returned within 14 days IPTE will invoice for the refurbish cost (exchange part) and for the new value of the part (not returned part).


11. Freight, Duty on Warranty Parts: IPTE will pay the shipment cost for sending the under warranty part to the customer location. If a part needs to be returned to IPTE the customer is responsible for the freight charges.
